Uncle Winston went to the bridge.

Unlce Winston went to the bridge early this morning.
As sad as we all are, we couldn't have asked for a
better send off. He was sent off with all of us around and wrapped in grandma's blanket in grandpa's arms. He was cuddled right up until the end. We are feeling so blessed to have these 10 wonderful years end with such a send off of love.

update on uncle Winston

He's a tough guy!!! He's hanging in there. The cancer has spread up into his face with 1 tumor by his eye and another on his cheek. He's on pain killers twice a day and has switched to wet food. We're doing our best to snuggle him and kiss him a LOT! He's still moving around pretty well and doesn't seem to be uncomfortable. Please keep him in your purrs.
Thanks,
C.C. & 'Nae

PS: We're good. We found a new game to play. We push our toys under the fridge and go get mommy. She gets our toy and we start the game again. After a few rounds, Mommy takes the toy and us into the living room and closes the door to the kitchen. Then we play the game w/ the couch. After the eleventyfifth time mommy gets our toy and we push it back under, she says "tough" and throws us a new toy to play with. We then go get grandpa and grandma to get the first toy and they tell mommy she's being mean by not playing with us. We laugh. We Win!!!

bad news for Uncle Winston

Mommy took Uncle Winston the vet on Friday because the area where he used to have a leg was all lumpy. The vet ran some tests and said the cancer is back. It's sarcoma again and within 3 days has spread to around his chest from his back. The vet said about 6 months but it's spreading so fast we don't think it will be that long before he goes to the rainbow bridge. Please purr for him that he can continue to walk and that his pain medicine works to keep him comfortable. Thanks.

What's the difference???

Q: What is the difference between a 1 year old kitty & a 1 year old human?
A: Not much. The kitty may be a little more potty trained than a human but everything else is
the same.

Q: What is the differnce between a 2 year old kitty & a 2 year old human?
A: ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!!!

Q: What is the differnce between a 3 year old kitty & a 3 year old human?
A: A kitty won't put a PB&J sandwich in a vcr. Other than that, not much.

Q: What is the difference between a 4 year kitty & a 4 year old human?
A: A human understands what "no no" means and you can put them in time out.

Q: At what point does the kitty stop being a toddler? At what point does the Mommy understand they are curtain climbers for life? At what point does Mommy stop loving the similarities - the need for snuggles, the little soft touch on the cheek, the kisses, the tiny sneezes, the little toys, the curiosity, and the belief that Mommy is the greatest thing in the world?
A: NEVER!!!!

Happy New Year to all!!!

As we sit by the Charlie Brown Christmas tree with the unbreakable ornament on it and look back on this year, we are blessed with all the purrs and prayers from our friends in the CB. This year has been another big year for us. Destroying toilet paper, kleenex and flinging food has only been part of it. We are happy to say that we are well and Uncle Winston has all of his fur back after having his leg removed due to cancer. We have gotten many chances to help other kitties and have learned lots of clean jokes from Jeter to tell our other friends. We have cried with you and laughed with you and been part of many great journies together! Thank you to all our friends in the CB and may 2010 bring stinky goodness and crunchy treats by the truck load!

we learned more stuff yesterday

We learned the fastest way to get kicked out of bed. We were in mommy's bed with her and she had a bad case of the stinkies. C.C., our resident litter swiffer, was kind ne BRAVE enough to go behind mommy and start swiffin' her butt. The first time mommy kinda laughed and told C.C. that she had done a good job and to go to sleep. The elevnty fifth time, Mommy said "out you go!" She carried C.C. into the hallway and went back to bed. 2 minutes later, when mommy got up to go to the giant litterbox, C.C. snuck back in to the bed. Mommy let her stay acuz C.C. cries when she's alone in the hall.

Giggles to this ~ C.C. & 'Nae

Our important jobs!!!

Mommy has been very busy @ work. She works long hours and only comes home for a little bit for a nap. C.C. has the very important job of cuddling mommy to sleep. She snuggles in tight and starts to purr as hard as she can. I usually lay on mommy's arm. This puts mommy to sleep in no time. My job is to be the 'larm clock wif no snooze button. When mommy's clock makes noise, I come in and lay down on her. When it makes noise again, I start dancing. Tonight, mommy slept through the 'larm. My dancing didn't work so I got C.C. to come jump on her. That worked. We had mommy up and out of bed only 10 minutes after her 'larm clock yelled at her. Mommy is very lucky we don't have snoozers and that we take our job very seriously.
Proudly, 'Nae & C.C.
