we learned more stuff yesterday

We learned the fastest way to get kicked out of bed. We were in mommy's bed with her and she had a bad case of the stinkies. C.C., our resident litter swiffer, was kind ne BRAVE enough to go behind mommy and start swiffin' her butt. The first time mommy kinda laughed and told C.C. that she had done a good job and to go to sleep. The elevnty fifth time, Mommy said "out you go!" She carried C.C. into the hallway and went back to bed. 2 minutes later, when mommy got up to go to the giant litterbox, C.C. snuck back in to the bed. Mommy let her stay acuz C.C. cries when she's alone in the hall.

Our important jobs!!!

Mommy has been very busy @ work. She works long hours and only comes home for a little bit for a nap. C.C. has the very important job of cuddling mommy to sleep. She snuggles in tight and starts to purr as hard as she can. I usually lay on mommy's arm. This puts mommy to sleep in no time. My job is to be the 'larm clock wif no snooze button. When mommy's clock makes noise, I come in and lay down on her. When it makes noise again, I start dancing. Tonight, mommy slept through the 'larm. My dancing didn't work so I got C.C. to come jump on her. That worked. We had mommy up and out of bed only 10 minutes after her 'larm clock yelled at her. Mommy is very lucky we don't have snoozers and that we take our job very seriously.
Proudly, 'Nae & C.C.

GOOD MEWS!!!!

Uncle Winston is doing GREAT!!! He's still on antibiotics, but that's it. He gets his stitches out on Tuesday. His fur is starting to grow back already and he's getting around just fine. We couldn't be happier. Thank you so much for purrs and prayers... THEY WORKED!!!! YEAH!!! We're having a bit of a food problem now though. Uncle Winston is on CD for his man cat problems and 'Nae's still on ZD for her "I need to GAIN weight" issue. They both taste so darn good that we're eating out of both bowls. Oh well, @ least it's Science Diet so it's kinda ok. We're sharing nicely... don't know why mommy is making such a big deal out of it. She and Grandma run around yelling "nachos" @ us ~ you know... "nacho fud". That's all for now. ~~ C.C. & 'Nae

Update on Uncle Winston.

Thank you so much for all your purrs and prayers for Winston. He got through the surgery ok and came home on Monday. He's having a lot of problems with muscle spasms that send his whole body flying. We think it scares him more than hurts him but it is still hard to see him this way. On top of everything the poor guy now has Cystitis. Even IF he could get himself into the litterbox alone... he can't go potty. He's not eating or drinking. So, Mommy and Grandma are taking him to the vet everyday to get squeezed and forcing little bits of food and water into him. If it's still a problem on Thursday, Uncle Winston has to get a kitty catheter and IV. He just can't win. So, PLEASE continue to purr and pray for him just a little longer until he's back up to par. (This picture was taken Monday, AFTER the infection had gone away enough to do the surgery. It's a little blurry but you can see why we got scared.) Again, thanks from our whole family for your purrs and prayers. We all appreciate it.

Uncle Winston has Sarcoma

Grandpa found a cyst on uncle Winston's paw on the 6th of August. Mommy and Grandma and Grandpa took him to the vet right away that day. Yesterday they got the last of the test results and found out that since it is a soft tissue cancer that we get to keep uncle Winston. He does have to have his leg amputated on Monday to make sure the cancer doesn't spread but Dr. Vogel is a wonderful lady that will take very good care of him. Please pray for our uncle Winston and Dr. Vogel too. We are scared but feel better knowing we caught it early.

DO I GO HOME TODAY?
by Sandi Thompson
My family brought me home cradled in their arms. They cuddled me and smiled at me and said I was full of charm. They played with me and laughed with me and showered me with toys.I sure do love my family, especially the girls and boys. The children loved to feed me, they gave me special treats. They even let me sleep with them - all snuggled in the sheets.I used to go for walks, often several times a day. They even fought to hold the leash, I'm very proud to say. These are the things I'll not forget - a cherished memory.I now live in the shelter - without my family. They used to laugh and praise me when I played with that old shoe. But I didn't know the difference between the old ones and the new.The kids and I would grab a rag, for hours we would tug.So I thought I did the right thing when I chewed the bedroom rug. They said that I was out of control, and would have to live outside. This I did not understand, although I tried and tried. The walks stopped, one by one; they said they hadn't time.I wish that I could change things, I wish I knew my crime. My life became so lonely, in the backyard, on a chain.I barked and barked all day long to keep from going insane. So they brought me to the shelter but were embarrassed to say why,They said I caused an allergy, and then they each kissed me goodbye. If I'd only had some classes, as a little pup.I wouldn't have been so hard to handle when I was all grown up."You only have one day left." I heard the worker say.Does that mean I have a second chance? DO I GO HOME TODAY?

My tail IS beautiful!!!

Today, no matter where I was, Mommy said my handle was in the way. This morning I was laying on her chest and swooshing my handle back and forth. Is it my fault her face was there? Later, she was on the computer and my tail was between her and the screen. She pushed it down, then it was between her fat fingers and the letters. She was making lunch (tuna sandwich & I got bites) and my tail got into that too. She washed my tail off and said it was just a bother today. Later, we were watching TV and my handle was question marked in front of the TV. She said my tail was cute but she really wanted to see the whole picture. I stretched my butt into the air as high as I could get it and she tossed a mousie at my butt. So, there I stood to prove a point. MY TAIL IS BEAUTIFULLER THAN THE TV PICTURE!!!! ~ 'Nae.

Yahoo news. humff

Have any of you let your moms and dads read yesterday's Yahoo "news". There is an article that says some people did a study and found out that cats own people. DUH!!! We knew that. How did it take the peoples so long to figure it out? When we are on the chair, mom sits somewhere else. When we want her food, she shares. When we want OUR food.... she best be jumping to make sure it's a full bowl or 'Nae dances on her until she gets up. Kitties have owned mommies and daddies for squillions of years. This just proves that our hoomins aren't as smart as we give them generous credit for being. They have to "study" to know what we know from birth! sheesh. the link (if we did it right is below)

Another busy weekend @ our house.

Friday was this thing called Relay for Life. We stayed home acuz kitties don't have an overpowering urge to walk in circles for hours on end. We did however buy mommy luminaries. She survived cancer (mostly acuz of us). We are so very proud of her. Saturday when mommy and grandma got home we all stayed in bed and snuggled. 'Nae watched Over the Hedge eleventyfive hundered times. Sunday, Mommy worked late and brought home chicken for lunch. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!! Even 'Nae sneeked some bites. It doesn't sound like we did alot but as you know. Kitties never get full credit for all their contributions.

IT'S OFFICIAL..... We're the WORST bloggers.

2 months has gone by since Mommy said we need to blog. She said we're big kitties now that we are 3 years old and shouldn't *need* reminding. We'll clearly, that's not true. When you let 3 year olds in the computer they hit the EBAY then their friends bloggies then CATTV.COM where we spend the rest of the day watching the butterfly go around the screen. Any responsible parent knows that you need to monitor your kids activities on the computer. There are bad things in here - like other kitties that want to take over the world and Max (the Psychokitty) that knows he already owns the world and is telling younger kitties how to become GODS!!! Well, anyway.... we're very sorry it has been this long and we will try to check OUR bloggie before getting on CATTV.COM. AND we will tell Mommy to be a more responsible parent. LOTSALUV.... C.C & 'Nae!

I'm so happy!

Today Grandma took the last roll of tiolet paper out of the plastic thingy. I hurried in there!!! I love pretending I'm Charmin. I'm squeezably soft. Mommy said I could play with it for a few days before it has to go in the garbage. Now everytime someone goes into the bathroom I head straight for the toilet paper bag. Usually I head for the air blowy thing on the wall or into the sink or bathtub. I really love all the fun things in the bathroom!!! ~~ C.C.

Nothing really too much....

Easter Bunny was very good to us. We got forever Peeps. They are little stuffed bunnies. Mommy got the nip-spray out so we are playing with them ALOT. We also got new bubbles. They smell like nip too. We've been outside playing with the bubbles in the front yard. It's been beautiful here. It's in the 60's. SPRING IS HERE!!! The flower bed is all dry now so grandma will be planting soon. We hope she plants kitty grass and nip plants. Mommy and Grandma are getting ready to help spring kitties find homes w/ Camp Companion. They get to paint faces. Why paint kitties faces, we wonder? KITTIES ARE ALWAYS CUTE - just as they are!!! Mommy is kinda excited to see all the new babies. Her moewilogical clock is ticking. In other news... 'Nae ate her pink stringy, so mommy has been watching her poop to see if she can get it back. I think Mommy should just give 'Nae a new stringy but mommy said NO MORE stringies. 'Nae is now chasing q-tips again when she's not playing with our Peeps. That's about it. Not much new in our world outside of the everyday wierd. Hope everybuddy else is good too!!!

'Nae got a bath!!!!

The day started out like all good days do. We got food. Then mommy went out with grandma and grandpa. When they came back Shadow snuck outside. How sad is it that 20+ pound 3 inch legs Shadow out ran our 3 humans? We realize she spends ALOT of time on the treadmill but she's just napping. Anyway, since it was nice out, mommy let all of us go out. I stayed on the steps and soaked up warm from the sun. 'Nae wasn't that smart. Actually - Mommy wasn't smart enough to stop 'Nae. GUESS WHO FOUND THE FLOWER BED? with no flowers in it and meltyd snow it's just mud. Now here's where we find out how slow mommy is to learn. As we have mentioned before, we are enablers for mommys tummy obsession. Instead of calling 'Nae (who comes when called about 95% of the time) Mommy went to get her. So - picture this - Mommy and 'Nae in the mud bed. 'Nae rolled over for a tummy rub. She went from grey to brown and gooey fast. Then mommy tried to pick her up and the chase was on!!! it was too nice having outside back to go in so fast. Mommy caught 'Nae and realized (probably by our laughter) that the rest of us were still outside. Mommy had to let 'Nae go so she could get the rest of us in the house first. She said she didn't want "miss muddy butt" running around in there. We all went in the house, 'Nae went back to the mud for a second coating. Mommy brought her in holding 'Nae like a dirty diaper. Next thing we heard was plunk splash and naughty words. It seams wet, muddy 'Nae got out of the tub. Finally, mommy got the bubbles in there and 'Nae's ducky and all was fine. 'Nae ate bubbles and batted her ducky around. She smells better now too. Hopefully this taught Mommy to watch 'Nae a little closer, now that outside is back. Hopefully, 'Nae learns to run faster. ~~ C.C.

WOW - It's been too long.

Thanks to Jan & the Funnies for your concern. We are all doing ok. Mommy and Grandma & Grandpa went to Florida & when they got home Mommy went to the hospital for a couple days acuz of a bug. She said it's a flu bug, but essept for ants - all bugs flu. That's what makes 'em so hard to catch. Mommy has been spring cleaning. We've been helping. We fit in the places that the sucky monster can't fit so we are collecting dust bunnies for mommy. She says we could use our tails to dust the high places she can't reach. We think she should raise our allowance. Negotiations are in progress. We've been quite busy guarding the closet. The Easter Bunny was in there. Mommy said the Peeps are for Grandma & Grandpa, but we know they would want US to have them. Peeps are the fun things you lick and let stick to the hard wood floor. They also make pretty funfetti when we fight over them. We're trying to be good so the Easter Bunny will come out of the closet and play with us. It won't be too much longer and our yard will be back. The snow takes outside away for MONTHS were we live. We've been patiently waiting by the window watching for it to come back. Mommy said when the mud is dry we can go out to play. Mud sounds fun and since it's been warm the last couple of days we might just sneak out to see if outside really is back!!!! We promise not to go so long without letting you all know what's new in our daily lives. Thanks again for your care. - C.C. & 'Nae

More baby pictures!!!

Mommy found baby pictures!

Mommy has been so busy cleaning and packing and getting ready for a vacation, she hasn't let us get into our bloggy. Mommy and Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Mary are going to Disney World. We would like to go chase a big mouse around and sit in tea cups but mommy said we don't fly well. She should see C.C. jump from the over the door climby toy to the top of the closet door. C.C. can fly almost 6 feet. Some good things have happened since Mommy's been cleaning. We found LOTS of our missing toys behind furnature and mommy found some of our baby pictures. We'll be non-bloggy-ing kitties again while mommy is gone. She told Ayvree (the girl taking care of us) that we can't be on the computer, and we can't have friends over. Mommy said NO PARTY for us. Maybe if we rely on our cuteness Ayvree will forget the rules. Maybe - C.C. & 'Nae!
